Following the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian-born activist and former Columbia University student who is suspected of having ties to Hamas, the White House indicated on Tuesday that more arrests are anticipated.
In an interview with Hannity, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt affirmed the administration’s position on the issue, calling Khalil’s arrest the “first of many to come.”

Khalil, 30, was arrested by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Saturday after it was determined that his participation in a Columbia University student encampment protest in 2024 was associated with pro-Hamas activities.
