After nine whole months, the two astronauts who were trapped in space have finally made it back to Earth. The astronauts are Butch Willmore and Sunita Williams of NASA, who embarked on an eight-day tour that extended to nine months. After being trapped at the International Space Station (ISS), the NASA astronauts have finally returned to Earth.
Originally scheduled to last eight days, Sunita Williams and Butch Willmore’s 2024 flight to the ISS ended up lasting nine months.

The ship they used to get to the ISS had issues, which caused their return to be delayed. But after almost a year aboard the ISS, Williams and Willmore were dispatched for another ship. After spending so much time in a gravity-free environment, they were reportedly placed onto a stretcher to start their rehabilitation after splashing down off the coast of Florida on March 19.

Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov, a Russian cosmonaut who had previously joined them at the ISS, were also aboard the SpaceX Dragon ship.
