Let me introduce you to Duck, the energetic and lively two-legged kitten. Cody, her owner, is certain that she lost her legs at a young age, and she hasn’t been affected by it at all. There is nothing that can slow down Duck.
When a good stranger discovered Duck on the street, her story began. Her terrible little legs had to be amputated in order to preserve Duck’s life after she was taken to Cody’s sister’s clinic. They believe her legs most likely got caught up as she was relaxing in an automobile engine. Duck made it through her difficult beginning!
Discovering How to Move Like a Duck
Duck was first given to Cody for a brief foster stay by Cody’s sister. However, he made the decision to keep her within a day of having her. As soon as Cody met her, he fell in love. She had obviously found her forever home with Duck.
Her distinctive waddle led Cody to name her Duck. At first, she moved slowly as she tried to regain her equilibrium. She would attempt to stand, and her balance improved significantly. Almost immediately, she grabbed it up. With the grace and speed of a small T-Rex, she now dashes around the home. According to Cody, “she hits a full upright Usain Bolt around the house.” She never seems to stop moving, whether it’s on the couch or on wooden floors.
An Ideal Playmate
Duck’s joyful demeanor is infectious, and she never stops being energetic. Shaking a bag is one of Cody’s favorite ways to grab her attention, and Duck can’t help but get right in! She also enjoys zipping around after her siblings, playing with her toys, and chasing bright spots from Cody’s flashlight.
Cody’s little French bulldog, Bimini, is Duck’s best pal. With Cody’s two larger dogs, Bimini had always felt excluded, but everything changed when Duck showed up. “They’re almost inseparable,” Cody claims. Bimini and Duck have a nice routine whereby they spend their days playing, relaxing, and even washing each other’s faces. Bimini will do her best to clean Duck’s face because she is unable to do it herself. Duck then expresses gratitude by wiping Bimini’s face.
