Following her strange defense of biological men participating in women’s sports, Whoopi Goldberg has once again found herself in hot water. The View’s far-left presenter mocked individuals who dared to advocate for actual female athletes while dismissing worries about safety and justice.
Goldberg attacked anyone who criticize men participating in women’s sports during a recent show, claiming that criticizing transgender athletes is in some way offensive to women. Do you know any female athletes? “They know what they’re doing!” she yelled, dismissing the ample proof that biological men are inherently superior to women in competition.
“This idea that they can’t compete is just wrong,” she added. Conservatives and former athletes who have been working to maintain the fairness of women’s sports immediately criticized her comments.
The reaction was quick. Riley Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer who has been at the forefront of the struggle to save women’s sports, blasted Goldberg for her offensive remarks. “Every woman who has dedicated her life to competing at the highest levels is insulted by this,” Gaines said. “It’s about fairness, not about feelings.”
