Shauna Rae has been candid about the difficulties she encounters when dating as a woman who resembles a child.
Rae, 25, talked about the difficulties she’s had in her romantic relationship during an edition of The Unplanned Podcast.
Rae has talked about the difficulties she faces because of her unusual physical appearance in addition to her previous relationship issues.
She is only 3 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 50 pounds. She has talked about how she frequently meets people who are not trying to help her.
She initially became well-known in 2022 thanks to her TLC program I Am Shauna Rae, which follows her as she navigates adulthood after a childhood ailment stunted her development.
Rae has freely admitted that she attracts a lot of “creeps” due to her beauty.
“People don’t realize I’m an adult,” she said.
She has complained in interviews about being treated like a child, getting kid-sized menus and crayons at restaurants, and finding it difficult to be taken seriously in public places.
Rae also discussed a challenging period in her life during the podcast, disclosing that she had been in an abusive relationship in her late teens.
She openly talked about a violent ex-boyfriend she dated when she was “17, 18.” She disclosed unpleasant facts about the encounter, but she did not identify her ex-partner.
Rae’s discussion of her personal boundaries in relationships, which include her strong opposition to “cheating, physical violence, even if it’s just like you get mad and you shove me,” brought up the subject.
Matt Howard, presenter of the podcast, asked if she had personally witnessed such behavior.
“Oh yeah,” Rae said. I was in a relationship that was really abusive.
Rae continued by explaining how the abuse started off as minor acts before getting worse.
