With the “best Showcase bid in the history of the show,” a contestant on “Price is Right” dazzles Drew Carey.

On Friday’s incredible edition of The Price is Right, the price was nearly correct.

Drew Carey, host of the Showcase Showdown, was completely taken aback when one of the competitors placed a bid so near to the prize’s true value that Carey referred to it as the “best Showcase bid in the history of the show.”

After playing the game, Patrice Masse from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, advanced to the Showcase Showdown. He bid $39,500 on a prize package that included a new car and a trip to Miami.

Carey couldn’t speak when it came time to reveal the prize package’s true value.

As Masse and the audience eagerly awaited the outcome, he started, “So, let me tell ya….”

The number is 39,000, five-oh-one.
