Reaching the Scene
This stray mother cat has been living on the streets for a long time, dealing with various challenges every day. Food was often put out for her by good-hearted individuals, but she was afraid of humans and could not get too close. Not until much later did her rescuers understand how traumatized she was—two of her kittens had been killed by a dog. She became very cautious and suspicious of the world around her as a result of this horrible loss.
The Rescue Operation
It was difficult to get close to the mother cat. Even when given sweets, she became defensive and snarled. Seeing that she was worried, the rescuers decided to leave her alone and come back later, assuming she would feel safe. She stayed in her cage with her kittens at first, but the rescuers persevered and eventually won her trust. Eventually, she understood that they were meant to be helpful rather than harmful.
