Finding your soulmate used to entail going out into the real world, but these days, the majority of people meet their significant other through dating apps.
And it’s true that even famous people had to put in the effort to find their true love.

For example, Maureen McCormick, 67, won her future husband over in church after first spotting him at a concert.
The most well-known role Maureen McCormick played was Marcia on The Brady Bunch, which ran from 1969 until 1974. Born on August 5, 1956, McCormick made appearances in multiple Brady Bunch spin-offs after the sitcom concluded.
Despite her popularity on the sitcom, she had the biggest personal difficulties in the years after the end of The Brady Bunch. McCormick’s battles with drug addiction, depressive episodes, and bulimia damaged her reputation as an actress.
In 2016, she told People, “I’ve had a lot of difficult times, but I take all those experiences and learn and grow from them.”
“I prayed to God for direction, went through and out of rehab, and received treatment in a mental health ward.”
The former child actor met a man at a performance who she knew would become her husband as she was battling a cocaine addiction and trying to accept that her ideal acting career was not working out as she had wanted.
According to McCormick’s memoirs, Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, “I turned around and saw this guy behind me.”
He was someone I had never seen before. He had chiseled features, a fantastic frame, and dark hair. I thought, “This is the man I’m going to marry,” as I gazed directly into his eyes.
After starting his job, McCormick started going to the same Bible studies as Cummings. At church, she even sat next to him. All the details regarding Cummings were of interest to the former Brady.
And it was successful! They eventually went on a first date after spending more time with him, and the rest is history.
She was upfront and honest with me right away. She has always been upfront and honest with me. Additionally, Cummings told the Daily Mail in 2015, “I never worried about her going back to her old behavior because I thought, whatever comes up, we will just deal with it.”
Despite being “quick and passionate,” McCormick said their relationship wasn’t always easy.
McCormick was continuously pushing Cummings away as she struggled with her drug addiction and sobriety. However, he never went.
In her 2008 book, she stated, “Michael stated that he had made a lifelong commitment and determined he was going to work at it until it’s unworkable.” “In many respects, he was correct when he believed that my development had been halted by child stardom.”
The couple, who had a kid in 1989, will commemorate their 37th wedding anniversary on March 16 despite all the ups and downs.
“I am aware that our faith is the primary factor that has allowed Michael and I to remain together despite all of the significant ups and downs,” McCormick wrote. Despite all of our issues, the two of us believed that our love was genuine, solid, long-lasting, and worthy of enduring. We thought our love was genuine because of our beliefs.
Hearing about another famous couple who have endured and supported one another through difficult times is very energizing.
