Milly has totally won us over and found a special spot in our community.
But, her decision to wear a helmet isn’t just about looking good.

She was born with hydrocephalus, which means fluid was building up in her brain, causing some shaking and loss of coordination.
She had a big cyst on her brain and a weird shape in her spine. On top of everything, her right front leg was missing a bone.

Milly’s got this unstoppable vibe that totally inspired Caroline, a caring soul from the Baby Kitten Rescue, to jump in and do everything she can to help Milly snag a shot at a better future.

Caroline really showed how much she cares about Milly by creating a cozy space for Otter, another cute cat who needed a helmet to stay safe.

Otter had to get some high-tech brain surgery to heal, and that kicked off Milly’s journey.
So, Caroline figured that her latest charge was in for a similar journey.

After some careful checks, the vets figured out that brain surgery was the only way for Milly to really get better in the long run.
Putting in a shunt would help drain the extra fluid from her brain, easing the pressure and stopping the tremors.

Meanwhile, Milly happily put on her custom-made helmet, letting her have fun without worrying about her delicate head.
Caroline says that Milly, the helmet princess, totally shines with energy and life.

Milly’s lively personality and sweet, caring vibe totally win over everyone she meets, bringing smiles and good vibes wherever she goes.

The surgery went well, and Milly totally impressed everyone with her strength and upbeat vibe.
Caroline happily posted on social media about how Milly was giving sweet head bumps to everyone walking by her kennel door.

Milly came back home from the hospital and kept on recovering like a champ, showing no signs of slowing down.
Caroline happily shared, “Milly’s been eating, playing, and purring like nothing ever happened!”

Milly might need a few small medical tweaks, but honestly, her progress has been pretty amazing so far.
Finally, she can hang her helmet on the wall and have fun playing with her favorite green plush buddy.
