Targeting the massive criminal behavior by illegal immigrant groups that has ravaged towns all throughout the country, former President Donald Trump revealed a daring new strategy called “Operation Aurora,” during a furious campaign event in Aurora, Colorado.
The Republican presidential nominee, Trump, presented a tough approach to not only guard American borders but also eradicate dangerous gangs like the Venezuelan “Tren de Aragua,” (TDA), whose impact has permeated suburban America.
Trump said unequivocally, before thousands of supporters: “We will rescue Aurora and every town that has been invaded and conquered by these vicious criminals.”
Under Trump’s proposal, the 1798 Alien Enemies Act—a centuries-old statute empowering the president to capture, hold, and deport illegal immigrant offenders free from the red tape of protracted court procedures—is invoked. Not used since World War II, this provision would give Trump the legal basis to quickly purge the nation of gang members.
Trump concentrated on Aurora, where at least ten members of the infamous TDA gang had been captured, causing disturbance among the people of the city. In one instance, TDA members tormented areas by overtaking apartment buildings.
Declining the inaction of the present government, the Republican candidate said, “Kamala Harris has imported an army of illegal alien gang members and migrant criminals from the dungeons of the Third World.”
According to Trump, Operation Aurora will be a multifarious federal endeavor including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Border Patrol, and federal law enforcement agencies to hunt down and deport gang members. “We will send elite squads to arrest and deport every last illegal alien gang member until there is not a single one left in this country,” he said to a rousing assembly.
Trump’s approach goes beyond mere deportation. Additionally included in his proposal is a 10-year jail sentence for immigrants who unlawfully re-enter the United States following deportation. Even more strictly, he threatened to enact the death sentence for any illegal immigrant who murders an American law enforcement agent or citizen.
Democratic authorities among others have tried to minimize the existence of gangs like TDA, but local citizens and law enforcement officials view things differently.
Gang violence has emerged as a hotbed in Colorado, some claim the open-border policies of the present government have aggravated this situation.
One Border Patrol agent told The Post, “F— yeah.” We have to let the scumbags in too even though it is far too long we have been sitting by knowing that not every illegal immigrant is a criminal. They also realize they may hide behind the dream world of this government.
Voters who are worried about the security of their neighborhoods especially find great attraction in Trump’s approach. Once written off by the media as overdone, illegal immigrant crime has become a real concern for Colorado and surrounding citizens.
Republican officials in the state, such as U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert, mirrored Trump’s worries, noting, “Venezuelan gangs are extorting and harassing people.”
With Trump positioned as the sole candidate ready to take the audacious actions required to safeguard American citizens, Operation Aurora might upend the 2024 race.
Trump promised, giving hope to towns devastated by gang violence and unfettered illegal immigration, “We will target and destroy every criminal network operating on American soil.”
