Kristi Noem, the secretary of homeland security, is acting to rectify departmental leaks that have jeopardized the operations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to reports, Noem has ordered DHS employees to undergo polygraph tests in order to determine who is accountable for revealing classified information.
Sources claim that Noem’s order follows an ICE operation in Aurora, Colorado, that targeted members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which was allegedly compromised by an inside leak. Less arrests were made as a result of the compromised operation than anticipated, which raised questions about the threats to national security posed by unapproved disclosures.
According to Noem’s directive, DHS employees must take lie detector tests that concentrate on their interactions with radical nonprofits and media outlets. “We can, should, and will administer polygraph tests to our personnel as a national security agency,” a DHS spokeswoman said, reaffirming the need for these precautions to safeguard enforcement activities.
Ironically, the announcement of Noem’s crackdown was leaked as well, demonstrating once more how corrupt the Biden administration is and how eager it is to endanger American lives in order to shield lawbreakers. Our borders have become lawless war zones as a result of this kind of betrayal, and American streets are now overrun with people traffickers, fentanyl dealers, and cartel goons.
Naturally, the left-wing elite and the mainstream media are already criticizing Noem’s actions, casting doubt on the reliability of polygraph examinations, and complaining about “government overreach.” However, when these same officials exposed classified ICE operations, so endangering the lives of officers, where was their outrage?
Internal opposition to immigration enforcement may be more widespread than previously believed, according to DHS papers that have been leaked. Stronger border control measures have been openly opposed by some career officials, many of whom were hired or maintained during the Biden administration. Concerns that some DHS divisions are more devoted to open-border advocacy organizations than to the rule of law have grown as a result of this.
Several Republican lawmakers have called for more extensive probes into DHS corruption, while Noem’s congressional supporters have expressed their support for the crackdown. One senator said, “The American people deserve a government that works for them, not against them.” “Any DHS employees who compromise national security must be held responsible.”
In the meantime, local ICE officers have complained that frequent leaks have made their work less efficient and riskier. Many agents think that criminal groups and illegal immigrants would keep abusing the system if there are no harsh penalties for those involved.
Biden’s embedded activists who have no interest in defending American sovereignty are being removed from DHS with Noem’s action, which is a much-needed effort. Now, the only question is if she will go to the lengths necessary to keep the residence clean and guarantee that ICE can carry out its duties without left-wing agents constantly alerting lawbreakers.
