Chad Bianco claims that the Democrats in California and Newsom are “completely out of touch.”
On Monday, a Republican sheriff with a reputation for tough-on-crime who backed President Donald Trump in the previous election began running for governor of California.
At an event on Monday in Riverside, California, which is around 50 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco declared his intention to run for office in 2026 in order to replace Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, who is term-limited.
In his speech, Bianco stated, “As Californians, we want leadership that actually cares about the cost of living …and leaders who will do something about it,” according to prepared quotes.
“We want homes we can afford,” he underlined. When it’s hot, we want air conditioning, not continuous blackouts. For the crops and animals that provide us with food, we need water. We want the chance to realize the California Dream, not to be denied it due to government regulations and bureaucratic red tape. We want our elected representatives to be open and truthful. We want less waste from the government and reduced taxes. We want common sense to win out and sanity to return.
