Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has finally acceded to President Donald Trump’s demands by allowing the United States to tap Ukraine’s enormous reserves of vital minerals, after years of abusing American taxpayers for unending military assistance. Trump made it plain that the era of free handouts was over and that Ukraine needed to contribute if it wanted to continue receiving help, which led to this huge win for the America First movement.
Hardworking Americans have been giving billions to Ukraine for far too long, with little return. Now, the United States is at last receiving something back under Trump’s leadership. The Biden-backed Ukrainian government first objected, as Reuters noted, but Trump’s team clarified that there would be repercussions if Zelensky didn’t agree, including denying Ukraine access to vital resources like Starlink internet, which has been essential for their military operations.
The fact that even major media like The Guardian acknowledged that Ukrainians are referring to this agreement as “blackmail” further demonstrates how Zelensky and his associates have been more than willing to accept American funds but object when asked to provide something in exchange. According to a top Ukrainian official, “It’s blackmail, plain and simple.” They are demanding that we give up our natural resources when we are struggling to survive.
