The next day, Tiller revealed that she had indeed made the decision to retain the kitten, much to the delight of everyone. The little kitten, which she named Juniper, was small enough to fit in her hand.

Her rescue was not the end of Juniper’s adventure. Juniper was barely four weeks old, according to the veterinarian Tiller took her to. Juniper’s survival is remarkable because kittens typically nurse for eight to ten weeks. Juniper had no serious health issues and was allowed to return home after being stranded for days.
