Cats love to perch on tall objects, as we all know, but this brave feline unintentionally elevated his passion for heights to a whole new level. San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) Animal Care Officers got a 311 call on a Friday afternoon regarding a cat that was stuck on a ledge over a nearby overpass. They had no idea that the tale of this brave cat would win people over all around the city.
A Risky Halt
An orange, bold cat was perched on the brink of a very tall ledge when Animal Care Officer Tutak and Animal Care Sgt. Flores arrived on the scene. Being careful not to scare the cat into jumping, the cops approached with great caution.
This courageous cat, appropriately named Bridges, initially appeared apprehensive about their presence, as seen by his unwelcoming demeanor in the Facebook pictures.
A Dangerous Rescue
Because of the cops’ perseverance and tolerance, Bridges finally came to trust them. As they eventually gained his trust, he allowed them to pull him to safety. The drama was far from done, though. Bridges needed immediate medical attention.
Unaware of how long he had gone without food or water, the officers rushed him to the emergency department out of concern for his safety. Thankfully, there were no significant issues found throughout the checkup, save from a possible respiratory infection.
