A sight right out of a storybook had been captured on camera: a stray tomcat, whom Egeland called Red, came in via the cat door holding a kitten in his teeth.

Red, a well-known figure in Egeland’s community, had clearly become fond of her house and frequently stopped by for a lunch or a comfortable snooze.
