Mouse had a serious health issue a few days after moving into his new house: his eye started to swell and quickly got worse. He was taken to the veterinarian in excruciating pain, when the painful decision to remove the ruptured eye surgically was made. For such a young kitten, the procedure was risky, yet Mouse persevered and lived. He was not deterred by losing his sight; on the contrary, it strengthened his fortitude.
Overcoming Challenges in Health
Mouse’s eye surgery wasn’t the end of his health issues. He struggled with a number of conditions, such as conjunctivitis, hookworms, and coccidia, necessitating almost three operations and numerous medications. Despite these insurmountable challenges, Mouse’s will to live got greater every day. His passion continued to propel his recuperation, and his human mother called his enthusiasm for life an inspiration.
