Almost 200 retired generals and admirals of the United States military know who can lead the country, especially with World War III looming and war hawks in the Democratic Party guiding the ship. While expressing anxiety about the perilous route America faces under a Kamala Harris presidency, these decorated warriors have thrown their complete support behind former President Donald Trump
In a strong statement published on Monday, the retired military leaders—who are members of the Flag Officers 4 America group—endorsed Trump for the 2024 presidential contest, referring to it as “the most important election since the founding of America.” Concerning the policies of the current administration, they characterize it as a direct challenge to the Constitution and warn of a descent into “authoritarian cultural Marxism and socialism.” Their message is very clear: there is a risk to America’s continued existence as a constitutional republic.
The letter, which is signed by prominent military figures like Vice Admiral Howard B. Thorsen, Major General James E. Livingston, and Major General Patrick H. Brady, offers the nation a difficult decision. Under Trump’s shown leadership, do we stick to the Constitution and core American ideals, or do we keep going down the disastrous path of Biden-Harris policies?
The retired leaders contend that while our enemies, from China to Iran, are becoming more powerful every day, Biden’s administration has allowed America’s military power to decline historically.
These generals are criticizing Biden’s presidency for its shortcomings as America teeters on the brink of catastrophe. They point out the administration’s fixation with “divisive social engineering programs,” such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), which they contend are eroding the readiness of the American military for war.
The capability and aggressiveness of China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, and international terrorists are growing at a rapid pace. The letter notes that this did not occur under Donald Trump’s presidency. These former military personnel believe that Trump is the only candidate who can strengthen the United States and ensure its security, even while the Biden-Harris administration advances its globalist agenda.
And the ex-generals didn’t end there. The porous southern border, which has let millions of unscreened immigrants—including possible terrorists—enter the nation, infuriated them. The letter forebodingly states that “further terrorist attacks on U.S. soil are a near certainty,” a direct outcome of the current administration’s inadequate policy.
Not to mention the financial burden on US military readiness. The United States has a $35 trillion national debt as a result of skyrocketing inflation and unbridled government spending, with interest payments depleting resources that should be used to strengthen our security. They believe that if Trump does not win reelection, the US will not be able to defend itself against future challenges from around the world.
These former military officers’ support for Trump also runs directly opposite to the letter that seven hundred national security officials wrote in favor of Kamala Harris. That letter, signed by swamp creatures who despise Trump, such as former CIA Director John Brennan, extolled the virtues of the Democratic Party’s “commitment to democracy,” oblivious to the terrible results of their actions. After all, Brennan and his ilk are the same individuals who, during one of the most heinous election meddling efforts in American history, erroneously stated that the Hunter Biden laptop story was the product of “Russian disinformation.”
The military officers claim that the senior leadership of the Democratic Party has turned into a risky vehicle for “cultural Marxism,” endorsing divisive policies at the price of security and national cohesion. Between the anarchy on American college campuses, where pro-terrorist organizations are flying their flags without opposition, and the increased aggression of foreign foes, Biden and Harris have let the United States to reach unprecedented lows on the international scene.
These retired generals invite Americans to consider if they are in a better place now than they were four years ago, quoting President Ronald Reagan in their letter. The solution is clear-cut. America was stronger, safer, and more prosperous under Trump. The nation has descended into anarchy, weakness, and division under Biden and Harris.
For these former military officials, there is no question about who to support in 2024: Donald J. Trump is the only contender who can pull the nation back from the precipice.
