The police officers put forth a lot of effort to ensure that our society is safe and law-abiding.
Many believe they are underpaid, even though their work is among the most demanding and significant in our nation.
This is something that the Gallipolis, Ohio, KFC location wanted to draw attention to.
The branch’s owner decided to display a self-printed sign on the restaurant’s front entrance, which has caused some people to take notice.
The sign reads, “All uniformed police officers eat free everyday all day,” as you can see above.
It is obvious that the restaurant wanted to express their appreciation for the hard work that the police officers in their area do. When the police officers saw the sign, I can only imagine how encouraging that must have been.

The owner’s approach was thoughtful and excellent. A photo of the sign went viral on Facebook, receiving over 10,000 likes!
Employees at the KFC location have also commented on the image on Facebook, confirming that it is accurate and that they are pleased to provide free meals to all police officers throughout the year. In the community and online, this has caused some people to take notice.
You can’t please everyone.
The sign seemed to be unpopular with everyone.
Some believe that ambulance drivers, medical personnel, and other emergency services workers should also receive preferential treatment, and that it is unjust that police officers are the only ones receiving it.

One police officer felt compelled to respond after receiving numerous unfavorable remarks:
Although this message is constructive, some of you are unable to see the wider picture.
Whether I’m in uniform or not, as an officer, I don’t expect or want anything to be free, much less discounted, and I can assure you that other officers share my sentiments. “Special treatment” bothers us. In actuality, this was posted because KFC is recognizing law enforcement.
To those who said that recognition should also go to other first responders. My response? Definitely.
Protecting regular people and our society is the lifelong mission of police officers. I appreciate all of their efforts, as their work is a vital cornerstone of our nation’s well-being.
