In Auburn, Alabama, a young girl was just posing for a school portrait when she was unexpectedly photographed with a visitor.
The student in question, Brooke Mills, was starting seventh grade and was taking a photo to mark the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year.

Returning to school after a vacation is frequently a very memorable experience. A new academic term, frequently a new grade level or new classes, begins with the end of summer.
For parents, returning to school can also be a memorable day. Seeing your children grow up and assume greater responsibility is a big and emotional event for parents of older children.
My mother used to take a picture of me every time I went into a new class when I was younger. At the time, it was bothersome and occasionally humiliating.
But now that I think about it, I can see why she did it. It’s a wonderful way to honor your kids’ development and accomplishments. Additionally, it can be a great method for them to reflect on their first day of school and to revisit the experiences later.

However, mother ShaneJoy Mills received a bit more than she had anticipated when she took a back-to-school picture of her middle schooler Brooke Mills.
First of all, she failed to see anything unusual or problematic. The seventh-grader Brooke Mills’ back-to-school photo appears particularly adorable at first glance. However, her mother was astounded by what she saw when she examined one of the pictures more closely.
“God, it was terrifying! I said, “Please show your teeth, baby,” after obtaining two images. Then Mills told WRBL, “I saw the snake.”
“I said ‘Brooke come here’ and she looked at me like I’m not done taking pics! “Brooke, get away from the tree now,” I said. I think my face said it all, even though I spoke quietly.
The snake, which looked to have just been fed, was scarcely noticeable because it blended in so well with the bark. It was not instantly recognizable. On the event’s Facebook page, commenters have called it a rat snake.
Hundreds of people have shared the message. Thankfully, in this surprise back-to-school photo, the only thing this snake wanted to “strike” was a pose!
