The tale was told by a female churchgoer about a woman who went to the church and attended the service on a Sunday, but she was covered in tattoos and had a variety of piercings all over her body. The person who was telling the tale thought that the woman did not appear to be presentable for church and that she was not dressed adequately.

The lady contacted her after the service and informed her that her appearance was not suitable for the house of God. In response, the woman said, “How I look has nothing to do with you.” The need to tell her that was strong, so she followed through with the conversation.

She questioned whether or not she was justified in experiencing the unease that occurred as a result of outmoded ideas rather than any sort of genuine problem. The question that she posed to herself was whether or not the contemporary era should prompt us to reevaluate our preconceived notions regarding what is and is not proper to wear.The fact of the matter is that tattoos are a popular means by which individuals express their originality and personality in today’s society; thus, is it inappropriate for us to critique them for the method in which they express themselves?
