A 32-year-old woman was attacked by a polar bear on Friday after she jumped into their cage while they were being fed at the Berlin Zoo.
She has suffered numerous bites prior to being rescued.
The woman, only known as Mandy K, had to scale a wall, a row of hedges, and a fence to get inside.
At the Berlin Zoo, while the bear was being fed, the woman sprang over the bars and hurt her back, arms, and legs.
Six zookeepers tried to reroute the four predators, but one of the bears kept biting the victim’s wrists and legs.
The woman was saved when the zookeepers were able to frighten the bear away.
After undergoing surgery to heal her wounds, the 32-year-old woman is currently recuperating in the hospital.
She later said that she is a teacher who was depressed at her inability to obtain employment.
