Teaching our kids empathy is the only way we can contribute to a better society. Everything appears to come together when we look out for one another.
One 10-year-old, two twins, a set of triplets, and six New York siblings lost a very close buddy.
The youngster who passed away fought cancer for a while but ultimately lost the fight. His hair fell out when he was undergoing chemotherapy.
Like their deceased friend, they all made the decision to grow their hair long in order to donate it to others who have been diagnosed with cancer.
They made the decision to keep their scheme a secret. They all refused to have their hair chopped, and not even their mother understood why.
Unfortunately, the mocking from their peers increased in frequency as their hair grew longer and longer every month.
Many people called the siblings names and said they looked like girls. However, they understood they had a purpose and were committed to achieving it, therefore they didn’t give a damn.
They eventually gathered a total of 17 feet of hair when it came time for them to donate it. Amazing, isn’t it?
That such little children can be so affectionate and considerate makes us happy.
