In order to “hold China, Mexico, and Canada accountable for their promises to halt the flood of poisonous drugs into the US,” the president issued an order imposing “catastrophic tariffs.”
According to the directive, “enough fentanyl was seized at the northern border last fiscal year to kill 9.8 million Americans, and there is growing production of fentanyl in Canada.” “In addition, over the past four fiscal years, illegal border crossings from Canada have consistently hit all-time highs.”
One couple disagreed with this and chose to assist a Canadian restaurant by covering the cost of each patron’s meal.
To demonstrate their support for the Canadian customers, the couple, Sarah and Bill, generously covered the cost of everyone’s supper.
When the couple arrived at the restaurant, Aileen Ganley-Mutter was present.
“There are about 50 to 60 people in there, so that doesn’t happen, so we were all kind of shocked,” she added.
Customers offered to tip or pay for themselves, but the pair refused, stating that it was “the least” they “could do.”
