The podcaster Joe Rogan made the argument that since Elon Musk, the “super genius” who founded Tesla, is changing the political system, those in the establishment are going to have to face the consequences.
Millions of dollars in government contracts that the administration claims were a waste of taxpayer money have been terminated by Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This Tuesday, DOGE was also put on the hunt by President Donald Trump, who issued an executive order directing the department to work with federal agencies and implement significant employment reductions in the federal government.
Rogan made fun of the notion that Musk would be stealing from Americans, despite some Democrats warning that he would have access to their personal information and use it for his own gain.
“’Elon’s going to steal everybody’s money!’” After making fun of the notion, Rogan clarified, “He has $400 billion. He won’t embezzle your money, I assure you. That’s not what he’s doing, I assure you.”

Instead, he contended that Musk is targeting the class of government workers across a wide range of government institutions.
“He’s a great genius who has been f—ed with, okay? That’s what he’s doing. “And when you’re dealing with one of the smartest people alive and he helps Donald Trump get into office, after being f—ed by these nitwits who hide behind three-letter agencies, he says, ‘I want to find out what kind of corruption is really around,'” Rogan joked, cautioning government bureaucrats, “You f—ed up, then! You made a mistake by choosing the incorrect psychopath from the spectrum.
Rogan laughed and added, “Because he’s gonna f—in’— He’s gonna hunt you down.”
The host of the podcast then stated, “He’s gonna find out what’s going on, and that’s good, that’s good for everybody, that’s how you should be looking at this, like, ‘Wow we have a brilliant mind that is examining these really f—in’ corrupt and goofy systems and bringing in a bunch of psychopath wizards.’”

Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, wrote to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in July 2023, requesting that Musk and the Tesla board be looked into for what she described as the board’s “failure to address possible misappropriation of Tesla resources and conflicts of interest arising from Mr. Musk’s dual role at Tesla and X — renamed from Twitter.”
In another letter last week, the senator urged the SEC to look into any conflicts of interest between Musk and the board of directors of Tesla.

According to a lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice against Musk’s SpaceX in August 2023, the company “routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).”
According to the lawsuit, SpaceX falsely said that hiring U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, or “green card holders,” was prohibited by federal laws and regulations.
