At her first-ever NFL game, a mother has made the startling claim that her eight-year-old daughter, who has cancer, was shoved down the stairs by intoxicated fans.
According to reports, the disturbing occurrence happened this past Sunday, December 1. Buffalo Bills supporters are receiving backlash online over the interaction.Little Mia DeCamilla was the girl in question, and she was with her parents at the Bills vs. San Francisco 49ers game. But according to her mother, Mikey, Mia, who survived embryonal sarcoma, was pushed down the steps by a bunch of inebriated Bills fans.
Mikey DeCamilla vented her displeasure on social media, posting a picture of Mia carrying a placard that said, “I BEAT CANCER! MY FIRST GAME IN THE NFL!Mikey posted on Facebook, “Unfortunately, we left earlier than planned.” “Yes, it’s true that the Niners are losing, but we had to deal with the police because my husband and I were pushed down the stairs, in section 312, by a drunken Bills fan who thought it was cool to pass us.”
“Please unfollow our family immediately if you are this kind of Bills Mafia fan,” the heartbroken mother went on. Additionally, I hope your victory was well worth the jerk who thought it was cool to push a child who was standing in the cold with her cancer-free placard!
It should come as no surprise that Mikey’s message went viral on the internet, partly because of how devastating her claims were.
In the meantime, a GoFundMe that Mia’s family started to raise money during her cancer battle has reappeared. Almost $34,000 has been raised as of this writing.
According to the GoFundMe, Mia was diagnosed with childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in mid-January 2022. Mia finished her four months of chemotherapy before surgery. Mia underwent a 12-hour liver resection procedure on May 23, 2022. After surgery and eight weeks of chemotherapy, Mia eventually achieved remission on July 25.
It goes on to say: “I am requesting any donations, which are very welcomed, in order to relieve the family of financial strain and make life a little bit easier by paying for hospital food, gas, bills, and the mortgage.
“This is the greatest and best way we can assist the family and aid them through this road again, even though we as outsiders feel powerless and unable to do much to help them. Any money donated will be used immediately to support Mia’s family. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated by Mia’s parents, who are both Marine Corps veterans, and her mother, who is presently unemployed to care for Mia.
“Mia will finally prove to cancer who is in charge because she is so brave, strong, resilient, kind, and gorgeous!”
