“I was aware that I was the only person with whom Elon felt at ease. “Elon has always enjoyed using reasoning to communicate with me and to recall everything that has happened to him,” Maye recounted.
Billionaire Elon Musk exclusively told his mother about his business aspirations as he grew up, including his ambitions to build solar energy technologies, electric vehicles, rockets, spaceships, and other things.
Mrs. Maye worried that her son was working too hard and could be under stress, therefore whenever he discussed such ambitious intentions with her, she constantly encouraged him to give up and take a vacation. However, Elon frequently ignored his mother’s advice. As a result, Elon Musk is now the world’s richest billionaire, as we can all see.
Mrs. Maye came to the conclusion that her kid should be allowed to do everything he desires. Elon has ignored my advice to back off from several ideas, and the outcome is what we can all see.”
Ms. Maye Musk claims that Elon Musk struggled to communicate at all times. Even as an adult, Elon Musk experienced this. According to Ms. Maye, Kimbal Musk, her second son, assisted his brother Elon Musk in achieving his initial business triumphs.
As a result, in 1995 the two brothers and a few other partners established a business that specialized in creating computer software. Later, in 1999, this business was sold for 307 million USD. For owning 7% of the company’s shares, Elon Musk was compensated with $22 million USD.
Because his younger brother Kimbal was by his side, Elon didn’t have to try to convey his ideas to his partners and coworkers; Kimbal took care of it.
Elon Musk now realizes that he cannot escape the media, meetings, and conversations after experiencing some success in his firm.
Elon had to take the “light” in order to improve his reputation, which was supposed to help his future endeavors.
Mother and Elon Musk
I recall being so taken aback when I first read an interview with Elon that I contacted my son and inquired, “Hey Elon, did you just do an interview? According to my kid, “I’ve never done an interview before, so no one will sell me rocket building equipment because they don’t know who I am.” Kimbal has always taken care of it for me.
Get out of toxic marriages to provide your kids a healthier home.
At the age of 22, Maye wed engineer Errol Musk in South Africa. The eldest of the couple’s three children is millionaire Elon Musk; the second is Kimbal Musk, who owns a chain of farm-to-table restaurants; and the youngest is Toscar Musk, a filmmaker.
But she didn’t have a joyful marriage. Mrs. Maye claimed that she had to put up with her awful husband’s frequent ranting and screaming, so she chose to file for divorce and took her three kids with her.
Mrs. Maye and her three kids
“Having a horrible husband is the toughest thing; raising three kids is not the hardest thing. Without him, my life is better. I didn’t always get screamed at, even though at first I didn’t have enough money to make ends meet.
It was difficult to leave because I had lived in dread for a long time, I didn’t believe in myself, and I wasn’t sure if I could live, but I could return to that awful circumstance if I wanted to, so I left to offer myself and my kids a chance at a better life,” Mrs. Maye said. Maye worked at many occupations after becoming a single mother in order to provide for her kids: “Even when I was gone from home, I did everything. I didn’t have enough clothing or shoes to stay warm when I went to work in the bitterly cold winter. Life would improve, I told myself again, but first I had to work.
I spend my entire day searching for career opportunities while supporting my three children on the streets. Even though I’ve had to accept a lot of rejections, I keep going in search of the next chance.
Mrs. Maye has always put in a lot of work, starting as a poor single mother and continuing to this day as the mother of the world’s richest millionaire.
Maye Musk herself always made an effort to further her education in her latter years, becoming a certified nutritionist while continuing to seek a career in modeling.
“My mother always gave my brothers and I the freedom to do what we wanted,” said billionaire Elon Musk in a proud statement about his mother. She always put our schooling first, despite the fact that we occasionally didn’t eat enough. Although she rarely voiced complaints, my mother constantly looked for proactive solutions to problems. My brothers and I learned a critical first lesson from her outlook on life.
How to raise a child without money to become a billionaire
Mrs. Maye Musk suggests that parents teach their kids respect but let them behave as they like, rather than treating them like naive children.
“I love my children and am proud of everything they have accomplished,” stated Maye Musk. Maye claims that overprotecting or thinking of children as “too young” is the most frequent error made by parents. She expressed some of her parenting opinions.
Allow your kids to work from an early age.
“At the age of 31, I became a single mother to three children. Since I had no other option, I never felt bad about working full-time. My first priority was always to take care of my kids. She remarked, “I put a lot of effort into making sure I had a roof over my head, food on my table, and clothes on my back.” Based on her personal experience, Maye thinks that from an early age, kids should be assigned activities that are doable. “I was eight years old when I began working for my dad. In exchange for helping him distribute his monthly newsletter, my twin sister and I were given five cents an hour,” she added.
Children of Mrs. Maye are allowed to “be independent” from an early age.
She and her sister began working as receptionists at the clinic when she was twelve years old, handling duties like preparing tea and catering to patients. “My parents treated us like adults, people who could be trusted, and that had a huge impact on the way I raised my own children,” she stated. Maye approached her three kids in a same manner. They assisted their mother in feeding them from a young age. Elon assisted Tosca, the youngest daughter, with paperwork as she composed letters to physicians. Kimbal, the second son, also contributed significantly.
“I took Tosca to work at the modeling and image school I was operating when we resided in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Consider an 8-year-old who teaches etiquette workshops, choreographs fashion shows, and teaches catwalking. She said, “I even allowed her to be the wardrobe girl in my shows.”
No homework assessment
“I brought up my kids the same way my parents brought us up: to be self-reliant, kind, truthful, thoughtful, and courteous. I instilled in them the value of hard effort and moral behavior. I didn’t chastise them or treat them like infants. I never instructed them on what to learn. Elon Musk’s mother stated, “I didn’t check their homework because that was their responsibility.”
Her children continued to make their own decisions as they got older, taking charge of their own lives. Tosca selected the secondary school of her choice. Each of her children filled out their individual student loan and scholarship forms and applied to the institutions of their choosing.
According to Maye, children don’t need to be shielded from self-reliance.
Even though her family was struggling financially, her kids lived in a shabby room with six pals and no beds—just mattresses on the floor—but they were okay. “Your kids will live if they aren’t used to luxury. They don’t need to be spoiled. “Let them take care of themselves once you are certain they are safe,” she said.
According to Maye, parents can easily become anxious about their children. When she worked as a dietitian, she witnessed a lot of parents who were so anxious about completing applications to help their children get into prestigious universities that they stopped eating.
