Because the dog was crippled and no longer had a use in the fields, the hunter no longer wanted their dog. When Galgos del Sol Animal Rescue took her in, they discovered that she had inflammation throughout her nervous system and that she had been this way for some time.
Avellana was the loveliest and most helpful dog, even though it must have been frightening. She was placed on a physical rehabilitation and specific workout regimen by rescuers, which would greatly benefit her.
For mental stimulation, Avellana was also carried outside in her stroller. She was shown what life as a pet should be like after meeting other dogs.
The first steps she took on her own were quite emotional after all the effort. Avellana got quite active and showed off even more of her lovely personality! Then a forever home where she and her dog siblings would run the beaches. š
